I began teaching in the Augusta School District (USD 402) in 2019. I am the co-director of bands and instrumental ensembles (including 5th grade beginning bands).
I began full-time teaching in K-12 Music in 2006. From 2008-2019, I taught K-2 elementary music in Mulvane, KS. I also coached the district’s drumline from 2008-2016. I play drums around the Wichita area when time allows. Bands I have played for include 90 Proof Project and Big Fat Fun. I also write and record my own music in my spare time, which can be found at www.adamdeanmusic.com.
My wife (Kelly), and I have been married since 2013. We have two beautiful daughters; Shelby and Kelsey.
I am a bit of a collector and musicologist in my spare time. If I’m not writing, recording, and/or playing, you can find me in my home studio backing up my vinyl and CD collection into the computer, and remastering them to sound their best (this is harder than it sounds!). Our family household is heavy into hockey (particuarly my wife, who gets very intense!), basketball, and baseball. We also like to go on driving adventures, and our youngest (Kelsey) is increasingly dictating where we go exploring!
