Click on the scholarship title in order to access the link to that scholarship’s information and application.  Please read carefully, answer each question completely and follow all directions on the scholarship application – including requesting Academic Verification forms when appropriate.  All scholarship applications are fillable using Google Forms.  The submitted applications will be received by the counselors office, printed, and retained for submission to the organization or individual awarding the scholarship.  If you have questions, please contact Audrey Neuschafer at aneuschafer@usd402.com.

Eric and Lora Grooms Endowed Scholarship Application

This scholarship is available for a student who will be attending Pittsburg State University. Application deadline is March 31.

Gene Nusz
Applications are available in hard copy only from the AHS wrestling coach.  Applicant must be a graduating senior who wrestled during their high school career, has shown good citizenship and moral character, and must attend a post-secondary institution.

Armand Hillier (Booster Club)
This scholarship is for any athlete or cheerleader who participated in the activity during their senior year.  Preference is given to multi-sport participants and all qualified applicants must maintain a 3.0 GPA. There will be up to 4 scholarships awarded to graduating seniors, which will include at least one male and one female.  Application deadline is March 31.

Sondra Boyd Memorial Soccer Scholarship
Applicant must: have played soccer at AHS, have a financial need, and maintain at least a 2.0 GPA. Preference will be given to those who plan to pursue soccer in college.  Application deadline is March 31.

Augusta Education Association 
Applicant must have a 3.0 GPA or higher AND must plan to enter the teaching field. The award will be granted upon proof of completion of at least one teaching or education class taken in college.  Application deadline is March 31.

Cooper Drug Cletus Kappelmann Memorial
Applicant must obtain a 3.5 GPA, be involved in extracurricular activities and attend a post-secondary institution majoring in a medically related field.  Application deadline is March 31.

Chuck & Deann Korte Scholarship to BCC
Applicant must attend Butler Community College and show a financial need.  Students without other scholarships who are interested in an Agricultural related field are preferred, but NOT required.  Applications deadline is March 31.

John C. Hutter Scholarship
Applicant must have competed in athletics in high school, show exceptional character and show a financial need. 
 Deadline for completed application is March 31.

Oriole Pride Scholarship
This scholarship is open to any graduating AHS senior who maintains a 2.0 GPA. The application must contain an essay describing what it means to have Oriole pride and how the applicant helps make their school and community a better place to live.  
Deadline is March 31st

Joanne R. Johnson Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is open to graduating AHS seniors who have a 3.0 GPA or higher, are planning to attend University of Kansas or Kansas State University (preference given to anticipated majors of Engineering, Business, or Education) and who have participated in a minimum of two sports or music or theater for all four years of high school with a preference to Track & Field.  

Lion's Club
Applicants must be an AHS graduate and attend Butler Community College in the fall semester immediately following their high school graduation.  Deadline for completed application is March 31.

Mystic Tie #74 Masonic Lodge
Available to any graduating senior.  Deadline for completed application is March 31.

National Honor Society 
Applicants must be a member of National Honor Society to be eligible for this scholarship.   Deadline is March 31.

P.E.O. Chapter AF Scholarship
This scholarship is for current graduating female seniors from AHS.  
Deadline for completed application is March 31.

Student Council
Applicant must be a current Student Council member. Deadline for completed application is March 31.

Rodney Wheeler Friendship Grant
Applicant must show academic success, participation in school activities, show respect/friendship for others and financial need.  Deadline March 31.

Patricia A. Shryock Scholarship

This scholarship is intended for an Augusta High School female senior.  (Male applicants please complete the application for Charles F. and Laura Jean Shryock Scholarship).  For vocational-technical training ONLY.  A student's desire and abilities relating to her selected vocational-technical field will be considered in determing scholarship recipient. Proof of enrollment must be provided before funds will be delivered to the college where the student is pursuing vocational-technical training.   Deadline for completed application is March 31.

Charles F. and Laura Jean Shryock Scholarship

This scholarship is intended for an Augusta High School male senior.  (Female applicants please complete the application for Patricia A. Shryock Scholarship).  For vocational-technical training ONLY.  A student's desire and abilities relating to his selected vocational-technical field will be considered in determing scholarship recipient. Proof of enrollment must be provided before funds will be delivered to the college where the student is pursuing vocational-technical training.  Deadline for completed application is March 31.

White Eagle Credit Union 
Two scholarships are available – one to benefit any high school senior at each high school in Butler County and an additional scholarship to a graduating senior who is also a member of WECU or a child/grandchild of a WECU member.  This link will take you to the application that White Eagle Credit Union has posted and is NOT a Google Form. Applications are due March 31.

For scholarships administered by Central Kansas Community Foundation, please use THIS link to search and apply for those locally administered scholarships.  These scholarships, while local, are administered and maintained separately from Augusta High School.
