John Hutter

Coach John Hutter was a prominent figure in the history of Augusta High School, leaving a lasting legacy during his tenure from 1944 to 1966. He was a dedicated teacher and coach, overseeing various sports and achieving remarkable success.  He was celebrated as the winningest basketball coach in the school's history, with a remarkable .738 winning percentage. His impact was so significant that the Augusta High School gymnasium was named in his honor on March 2, 1982.
