Armand Hillier had a notable career spanning several decades. He served at Augusta High School from 1968 until his retirement. During his tenure, he held various roles, including teacher, coach, and athletic director.Throughout his career, Armand received recognition for his contributions to the field of athletics and education. He was named the KIAAA (Kansas Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association) athletic director of the year in 1985 and received the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association State Award of Merit in 2002. Additionally, his dedication to the community and the school was commemorated when Armand Hillier Stadium was dedicated in his honor in 2002.
