I graduated from Chanute High School in Chanute, KS in 2003. After living abroad for a few years, I completed my Bachelors in Psychology from Wichita State University in 2014. After working as a special education paraprofessional for one year, I decided to go back to college. I completed my Masters in Teaching – Special Education in May of 2020 from Pittsburg State University. I am currently a student at Emporia State University, working on completing a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction as well as a Masters in Educational Administration.

I began teaching in Augusta at the beginning of the 2022-2023 school year. I am a special education teacher at Augusta High School.
I began teaching special education in 2018 at Iola High School in Iola, KS. I stayed there for 2 years before transferring to Royster Middle School in Chanute, KS. After moving to Augusta in 2021, I taught for one year at Andover Central Middle School before coming to teach at Augusta High School.
I am a married mom of 8. My husband and I have been married since 2014. We have 7 boys and 1 girl altogether ranging from infant to college age. They all currently attend, will attend, or have graduated from Augusta public schools. Our lives may be busy but our hearts are full!
When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, going to classic car shows, reading, and binge watching my favorite shows.
