Larry Williamson

Larry Williamson
Larry was one of the most feared running backs in the CTL. A two-time All-CTL selection and Honorable Mention All-State, he was a dominant presence on the field. A true three-sport letterman, Larry helped lead the Orioles to the 1976 State Indoor Track Championship, earned All-League and All-State honors in football in 1975, and competed at the state level in track that same year. Though his playing career was cut short by injury, his toughness and leadership left a lasting mark on Augusta athletics.
Beyond high school, Larry has continued to make an impact—serving as a deacon at First Christian Church, organizing the Augusta Jaycees Softball Organization, supporting community recycling projects, helping run his family’s IGA store, and owning and operating his own business LJW Distributing.
