College and Career Opportunities

College Programs

  • Our Onsite College Programs are open to in-district, out-of-district, and homeschool students, offering a variety of opportunities to get a head start on college and career goals. Students can participate in WSU Tech’s Manufacturing program or the Butler CyberIT program, both of which are tuition-free. In addition, students have the option to earn dual credit through courses offered in partnership with Butler Community College and WSU Tech, allowing them to gain college experience while still in high school.

  • The Southwestern College Future Teacher Program provides in-district students with the opportunity to earn up to $24,000 in scholarships. Each year, up to five USD 402 students who enroll in Southwestern College’s teaching program after high school can take advantage of this scholarship to help pursue a career in education.

  • Our Associate Degree Programs are open to in-district, out-of-district, and homeschool students. Students can pursue an associate degree through Butler Community College Academies or WSU Tech, gaining valuable college credit and career-ready skills while still in high school.

  • We offer work-based learning and apprenticeship options that give students valuable real-world experience. Through district-approved internships and hands-on opportunities, students can explore careers, build professional skills, and gain experience that prepares them for life after high school.
