I graduated from Girard High School in 1992. I attended Fort Scott Community Collge and graduated with my Associates degree in 1994. From there I went to Pittsburg State University where I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Education in May 1997. 

I earned my Certificate in Special Education from Southwestern College in 2004.

I began teaching at Augusta High School in August 2002. I teach  special education. I am seen all over the building since I team teach with several different teachers.  I am currently a co sponsor for Student Council. 

Before teaching at Augusta High School, I taught middle school special ed at Cherryvale. I was there for 3 years. I substitute taught for 2 years (1997-1999). 

My husband and I married in 1995. We are blessed with 3 wonderful, active children. 

When I am not teaching, I can be found at any of my children’s many activities. If my children are not keeping me busy, then I am here either keeping book at a basketball game, running the clock at football games, helping with a track meet, or running the concession stand.
