Emporia State University Graduate

I graduated from ESU in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science in Education with an emphasis in English.

I have been with the district since 1999.  I currently work with students involved with the Learning Lab and Reading MTSS.  

Learning Lab

Edgenuity is a powerful on-line course management tool that enables Augusta Public Schools to offer a variety of learning options to its students: both as a credit recovery alternative and as an enhancement to already existing curriculum. Edgenuity offers multimedia presentations on a variety of different topics that will offer our students different access points to information, supporting the concept of Universal Design for Learning.

Reading MTSS

Using the programs and resources provided by the district to be used for Multi-Tier System of Supports - Reading we will strive to strengthen the student’s skills.

Outcomes

• to measure a student’s current reading capacity and its improvement
• to measure a student’s efficiency in reading and its improvement
• to encourage and develop the student’s interest in reading

My husband and I have 5 children with the youngest still living at home while attending Augusta schools.  Our family has generally adopted pets from our local animal shelter and currently have 1 dog.
