AUGUSTA HIGH SCHOOL HALL OF FAME Inductee: Matt All Class: 1989

Augusta High School and USD 402 proudly induct Matt All into the Augusta High School Hall of Fame, honoring an extraordinary career defined by executive leadership, public service, academic instruction, and profound community impact.

Matt established his lifelong standard of excellence at Augusta High School, graduating with honors and placing second in the Class of 1989. He continued his academic achievements at the University of Kansas, graduating with Highest Distinction in Political Science (1993), before earning his Juris Doctor from Yale Law School (1996).

Following years in private legal practice, Matt transitioned into public service, serving as Assistant Insurance Commissioner for the State of Kansas (1999–2003) and Chief Counsel to the Governor (2003–2006). He was later appointed Chairman of the Kansas Lottery Gaming Facility Review Board (2007–2010), overseeing critical state development projects like the Kansas Star Casino.

In 2006, Matt joined Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas, rising through key executive roles to become President and Chief Executive Officer in 2018. Under his leadership, he serves on the Board of Directors for BCBSKS, Prime Therapeutics, and the national Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association, where he chaired the Health Policy and Advocacy Committee. Recognized as one of Ingram's Magazine's "250 Most Powerful Business Leaders in Greater Kansas City" every year from 2018 through 2025, Matt also served as Commencement Speaker for Wichita State University’s Colleges of Health Professions and Applied Studies in 2025.

Parallel to his corporate leadership, Matt dedicated nearly two decades to higher education as an adjunct law professor at the University of Kansas and Washburn University, while lecturing for UMKC. His commitment to civic governance is equally vast—having served as Board Chairman for the United Way of Greater Topeka, the United Way of Kaw Valley, the Topeka Chamber, and the KU Honors Program Advisory Board. Beyond the boardroom, Matt has enriched Kansas communities by coaching youth sports for a decade and lending his vocal talents to the Topeka Festival Singers and Theatre Lawrence.
