Band Teacher
I graduated from Louisburg High School.
I went to the Univisity of Kansas where I marched tuba in the Marching Jayhawks. There, I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education.
I attended Emporia State for my graduate work. I earned a Master of Science Degree in Education Administration.
Since my Master’s Degree, I have college credit from almost every single college and university in the state!
BME – The University of Kansas
MS – Emporia State University
This is my first year teaching in Augusta, but I have lived here for 15 years. I teach band and jazz band at the high school, as well as beginning band in all four elementary schools.
I began my career up the road in El Dorado, where I taught 5-12 band. After that, I went to Rose Hill and taught 5-12 band. The last six years, I have been teaching band and orchestra at Stucky Middle School in Wichita.
My wife, Sara, and I have been married for 15 years. We have a wonderful daughter, Carlyn, who is a student of Augusta Schools.
I am a die hard Chiefs fan and never thought I’d live to see a Super Bowl win! I am also a KU alumni and huge basketball fan (and maybe football...someday).
