I graduated West Valley High School in Cottonwood, CA, then attended and graduated from Shasta College with my Associate Degree in general studies in Redding, CA. After moving to Kansas and establishing residency, I attended and graduated from Wichita State University with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and Sociology, then went back for a Master’s Degree in Education (Emphasis in Special Education)

I began teaching at Augusta HIgh School in 2021, and have been in USD 402 since 2020. I specialize in Special Education and currently teach English Comprehension and English Literature and assist in a variety of other subjects.
Prior to working at Augusta High School, I worked at Ewalt Elementary in Special Education grades Pre-Kindergarten through 2nd grade.
I married my husband, Ryan, in May of 2015 and we have 4 children, 2 girls (Remington (Remy) and Peighton) and 2 boys (Dalton, and Jameson).
We have many pets, as I also have a passion for rescuing animals in need. We have 14 horses, 2 sheep, 3 goats, 2 dogs, 5 cats, and 9 chickens.
When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy riding, training, and showing horses in disciplines such as English Riding, Jumping, Barrel Racing (Gymkhana), Western Pleasure, and trail riding. I also give horseback riding lessons and manage my equine rescue/farm. My husband and I enjoy firearm training and practice, and coaching our childrens’ sports teams – Mainly baseball and softball
